Print and Apply Labeling

Labeling ApplicationGRSI can use printer applicators, handheld, and desktop printers to create labels.  Printer applicators automatically print and apply labels to achieve rapid throughput rates.  Handheld and desktop printers (thermal, laser, or inkjet) are less expensive but require manual application, making them ideal for lower volume applications or application on irregular shaped material.  Printed labels can be top or side applied to a range of substrates including cardboard, paper, plastic, film and others.

FastTrak Warehouse Control System software communicates with the host and shipping systems to gather necessary label information then prints and applies the label. FastTrak WCS can also apply preprinted or auto-generating labels, such as LPN (License Plate Number) bar code labels used to identify a parcel/order. After applying the label, FastTrak Warehouse Control System scans the bar code for verification or order association. FastTrak Warehouse Control System can also simultaneously communicate with multiple print and apply labeling printers to achieve high throughput and redundancy during label stock changes. GRSI will work with you to ensure you receive the best, tightly integrated labeling solution for your operation.

Flip Label

Patented flip label technology makes it possible to print a shipping label with the pack list on the reverse side.  FastTrak ensures the shipping label and pack list match 100% of the time.  The label can be automatically applied using a printer applicator at a rate of 1,200 per hour or manually applied using a specialized printer.

Key benefits include:

  • Higher throughput
  • Lower material and labor costs
  • Elimination of cumbersome “pack list enclosed” pouches
  • Requires only one printer
  • Less paper and plastic = Green, sustainable solution!
