In-Motion Fulfillment

GRSI's automated in-motion fulfillment solutions provide significant improvements in accuracy and efficiency. The solution shown in the following figure automates wrapping and sealing, packing list creation and insertion, manifesting, labeling, and sorting. It utilizes the PriorityPak™ wrapper-sealer in conjunction with a proprietary packing list technology to operate at rates as high as 1,200 orders per hour with no human intervention from induction through to final sortation. Automation approaches and check-weigh combined result in 99.99% accuracy.

Automatically pack an order in three seconds

  • Scan, check, and record the items to be packaged
  • Weigh-check for quality control
  • Package single and multi-line orders
  • Packaging material typically weighs less than shipping boxes (freight costs less)
  • Provides excellent product protection - no need for extra dunnage

The PriorityPak™ wrapper-sealer is at the heart of the In-Motion Fulfillment system.

Automated in-motion weigh, label, and manifest

  • Automated unattended value-added processes
  • Weigh - for manifest and QC check
  • Label - carrier compliant shipping label
  • Manifest - multi-carrier capability

New - Print-Apply removable packing list beneath removable shipping label

  • Packing list is applied as part of the automated process
  • Auto-allocate incoming items to customer order
  • Same concept valid for item-specific return material
  • Shipping labels hide the removeable packing list or invoice (patented)
  • Security and paper documentation
  • Totally hands free from placement of unallocated item on infeed conveyor to completely manifested and sorted shipping parcel

Integrates to a shipping manifest system

  • Operating system only requires one link to host - FastTrak® - software controls - controls all automation with a simple link
  • Process in almost real-time to host (EPR or WMS)
  • Package may qualify for USPS rate plans - Example: 1st Class Parcel, which can save up to $5.00 per order (2-3 day delivery with confirmation) over parcel carrier's rates
  • Automated rate shopping for best price/method
